The Indian Medical Association of Kanchipuram had a World Health Day celebration today. The head of the Kanchipuram Indian Medical Association, Dr. S. Manokaran, declared that all 18-year-olds in Tamil Nadu will receive basic first aid training, carrying on an earlier program launched the previous year. He also disclosed a plan to carry out the Chief Minister’s dream project, which would involve distributing wholesome food to one hundred impoverished families in the state. Dr. V. Muthukumar, the Indian Medical Association coordinator, had earlier given a speech during the inauguration. An overview of the practical training program on natural body remedies was given by Drs. M. Ragul Pandian and K. Deepika, who are both affiliated with the Indian Medical Association’s medical student section.
